The giraffe scouts
Category: scouts | Date: Nov 17 2007 | By: admin
Today i would like to share the pictures of some of our scouts members who generally oversee day to day activities of the giraffes. As you may notice these volunteer scouts lack uniforms which could give them an identity and could help in their recognition by government institutions. Finally I would to acknowledge the 70 USD donation that we got from Antonio.c. This will definately boost our monitoring efforts in the sanctuary.

Glad to see that the Giraffe Sanctuary has made it to the “Latest Posts” at Wildlife Direct. Hopefully you’ll get more exposure and people can help get the scouts in some uniforms. Wishing you all the best. Lisa

Thanks for the email. I had no idea people poached the giraffe for bushmeat. To me that is just hard to wrap my brain around. I suppose there is not one animal in Africa that is safe from the bushmeat trade. What is the answer to all this insanity? Lisa

that’s only a little donation!
Dear Abdulahi the wildlife in your country is a great heritage, and the giraffes are fantastic.
What’s incredible view is a giraffe in the wild.
I have wieved my first giraffe in the bush in the Kruger Park and i have think to the wonder of the voyagers in the past .The same name Girafa camelopardis is characteristic.
I have a question : where is on the map the sanctuary?
